Mystery

A mystery tradition is one in which some things can't be explained, only experienced. Within a mystery tradition a teachers role is often to prepare a student and give them the tools and skills to experience the mystery and then process that experience.

The reason it is called a mystery is because everyone's experience is slightly different but ultimately can't be communicated in its totality to another person.
