Path of Light is a tradition which impacts every aspect of a practitioner's life, in many regards it becomes their life. This is not a commitment that is or should be undertaken lightly and the demands the Path places on those who walk it are taxing that it is not something that fits well for many people.
There is nothing wrong with that, Path of Light is a tradition of service and that is not a choice that everyone can or wishes to make.
During the Questioner cycle this will become obvious to the student, the teacher or quite often both.
If another tradition would better suit a student the Elder will help them find a suitable and skilled teacher, this is not a failing on the part of the student any more than not being suited to being a firefighter or a nurse.
